Physical Education Teacher
This opening is for a physical education teacher for 6th-9th grades for the remainder of the 2024-2025 school year. We are looking for an individual to cultivate a caring and exciting learning environment. A successful candidate will provide instruction to develop motor skills and physical activity. Candidates should be highly motivated, possess an ability to engage students and inspire a love of learning.
Qualified candidates are committed to working collaboratively in a team environment and are expert communicators. Applicants must have a valid State of Michigan teacher certificate with a PE endorsement K-12.

After School Care (Part Time)
We are seeking a person for our After School Care Program. Candidates must have the ability and desire to work with and care for school-age children ages 5-12. Candidates must pass a TB test, physical exam, background/fingerprint screening, and CPR training. Hours are 2:45 pm to 5:30 pm Monday through Thursday and 11:15 am-5:30 pm on Friday.
Requirements:
- Associate’s Degree or CDA credential from an accredited college.
- Three to six months of childcare-related experience.
OR an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Alignment with the mission and values of Traverse City Christian School.
- Demonstrated commitment to integrating faith into the curriculum and classroom environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to create a positive and inclusive environment where every student feels valued and supported.
- Willingness to collaborate with colleagues and actively participate in professional development opportunities.
