Variable Tuition is a needs-based tuition assistance program similar to those used by many private schools, colleges, and universities. This program allows families to apply for reduced tuition that is right for their family’s unique financial situation. An application is confidentially reviewed by a 3rd party (FACTS) who then makes a determination based on the information an applicant submits. You can learn more here.
Because there is a finite amount of funds available for Variable Tuition awards, it’s important to submit your application as early as possible to ensure consideration. The Priority Deadline for Variable Tuition applications is March 31. The Late Application Deadline to be considered for Variable Tuition is May 15. Variable Tuition applications received after the deadline will require special consideration pending available funds. A family may receive a wait-list designation meaning they will be considered for Variable Tuition if additional funding becomes available.
Note: If you are not able to complete your tax return by the deadline, you are still encouraged to submit your application. Any Variable Tuition award will be pending FACTS verification once a tax return is submitted. All tax returns should be submitted no later than the May 15 deadline unless approved by the Business Office.
Variable Tuition award notices will be sent out approximately 2 weeks after the March 31 and May 15 deadlines.
